Dear ASTO members,
ASTO election 2008-10 I phase started and is going on well, but for small incidents here and there.
Some candidates are distributing hand notices even when the voter is entering the polling booth, which is gainst all ethics.
Some candidates are distributing pens with their name printed and the post for which they are contesting. Its highly objectionable. Even before the election how they can use the post?
The height of all these is the following incident. One candidate was proudly saying his supporteres are recording their ballot papers after casting the votes and showing to the gentleman. This is highly condemned. This is against all democratic norms. Let the Returning officer note this down and see that no recording of polled papers are done by the voters. Otherwise, fearing the outsider, the voter is not allowed free polling.
